This is my website. It is partly a personal website, partly a professional website and partly just for fun. I use it to keep in contact with friends, family and the rest of the world. I use it to help sharpen my writing skills (which need a lot of work) and to expand my creativity. It helps me learn new things about the Internet and computers and it allows me to test my understanding of physics by writing a coherent post.

The nice thing about the Internet is that it is open and accessible to nearly everyone. This website allows me to interact with the Internet from the other side as a provider of content. There are a lot of companies that make it easy to do this but here, nearly from the ground up, I have control. However, without the open and freely available software to setup a website like Debian, Apache and WordPress this would be much more difficult.
